RING ROLLING
Electromechanical Rolling Mills
ERW
Banning® is the world market leader in the
manufacture of electromechanical ring rolling
mills.
The technology proposed by Banning®, which
is based on a patented concept, is
characterized, among other things, by the
systematic avoidance of hydraulics in all drive
areas. This results in significantly reduced
foundation costs, reduced assembly and
commissioning times and drastic energy
savings compared to hydraulic ring rolling mills
(-30% to -40%) as well as the avoidance of any
problems associated with the use of hydraulic
oil, such as leakage, fire risk and
environmental pollution.
The electro-mechanical servo drive allows
comprehensive remote monitoring of the
complete drive and the condition control and
diagnosis of all machine components, technical
support can therefore be provided very quickly
and in many cases remotely.
The electromechanical ring rolling mills offer
the possibility of a temporary overload (turbo)
of 140% related to 5% of the utilization time.
All our rolling mills include all potential options
as a standard, this means for example:
•
Automatic height adjustment of the
mandrel for the realization of profiles on
the inside diameter of the ring.
•
Lowering of the mandrel to roll steel grades
with increased resistance by using shorter
mandrels.
•
Automatic height adjustment of the main
roll for the realization of profiles on the
outside diameter of the ring.
•
Automatic height adjustment of the rolling
table.
•
Height adjustment of the rollers of the
centering arms.-Automatic height
adjustment of the laser(s).
•
Quick-change systems for the main roll, the
mandrel and the axial cones.
Banning® provides a fully automatic control
system which has been proven for many years
(RingLab software) and allows easy operation
of the rolling mill, as well as a simulation
software (RingLabSim). Our control system
meets the requirements of Industry 4.0
